We were recently treated to the wedding of Devon and Johnny. And I do mean treated. We were treated to a day full of love, family, exuberant celebration, dancing and best wishes. Everyone likes to party at a wedding, eat, drink, and wish the couple well for their future, but it seemed that everyone at the wedding was making it their personal task to ensure a good time.
We’ve experienced a variety of cultures and traditions, both ethnic and family based, but this was our first Lebanese wedding as that’s where Johnny’s family is from. We hope it’s our first of many. Never before have we seen the dance floor that packed, and not just for a song or two, but the whole evening. That’s a party. And the drum! It drives its beat down into your soul and right to your feet! You can’t help but dance (and honestly, I can’t dance).
Both families welcomed us into their homes and their celebration not as another wedding day vendor, but as friends (as we left at the end of the evening Johnny’s dad actually gave us heck for not taking a plate of sweets with us!!) Thank you for sharing your day and allowing us to tell your wedding story.
