We were invited to spend the day with Monica and Adam as they walked down the aisle, said their vows, and became husband and wife in front of gathered family and friends. You may remember them from their awesome Toronto Distillery District engagement session last fall. The day was fantastic with perfect weather, a great looking wedding party, loving and supportive families, and a party that wouldn’t stop. As guests entered the reception at Club Lentinas, they were serenaded by the night’s live entertainment, The John Gora Band – and they were just warming up! Did I mention that Adam’s new wife and her family are Polish (as is mine) so there was more than one Polka belted out to a packed dance floor that night.
During Monica’s prep at home her family fussed over food, sure that I would starve in that Polish/European way I’m so used to. Her brother smiled and said to me “It’s a Polish thing, there’s always lots of food” and I said “I know – I married into the club”. Even at the end of the night, after our gear was packed and we were making our rounds saying goodbyes to family and new friends, we weren’t allowed to leave until we had a drink and a chat with Monica’s mom. A great way to cap a long day of work in good company.
Monica and Adam we want to thank you from the bottom of our heart for bringing us along to tell your wedding story in photos. Your families opened their homes, invited us in, and treated us like extended family. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together and we hope you always make time to savour the food, drink the wine, and dance.
