Ti Amo. It means I Love You in Italian and it was the predominant theme in the wedding of Lacey and John (Giovanni). We first met Lacey and John last summer when they both stood up in the wedding of Heather and Eric and Heather pointed out to us then that Lacey was next. They expected John to pop the question at any time. Fast forward a year and it was time for Lacey and John to be center stage while Heather and Eric stood up for them.
The phrase Ti Amo was more than just a wedding theme or a bit of decoration to be used like scattering hearts about. It is a statement of fact that featured in their engagement session, a large hand crafted sign that greeted their guests, and on her pre wedding note to her soon-to-be husband. And during the reception when the DJ played that famous song and so many joined in on the dance floor? Well that was it – it was locked in my head.
I found myself afterward editing the photos humming away with this song, in particular the chorus, running on continuous loop in my head. If only I knew the words.
Editing went something like this:
“Ti” click click “A” click click “Mo” click click
“Lalalala”
“Ti” click click “A” click click “Mo” click click
Lacey and John thank you for sharing your day with us and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together. May you always find Ti Amo on continuous loop in your heart.
